Reports are that an 81 year old man who just married his CHILDHOOD SWEETHEART, is missing. Robert Harrod of Placentia, California has slight dementia, and has disappeared.
Robert proposed to his childhood sweetheart back in the 50s but they were unable to get married then. He went to serve in the Korean War as a Marine. They both married other people and had children. Both of them lost their spouses. Robert's childhood sweetheart, Fontelle Heeter, had an inquisitive daughter who looked Robert up for her mother, after hearing they were childhood sweethearts. They re-united and were married.....Now he is missing.

Thank you so much for this blog. This poor man is still missing and his wife is waiting for him. A 'Disappeared' show on Bob Harrod, called 'Long Lost Love', is due to air April 2013 on Discovery Channel.

Please come back and let us know an exact date...I'd like to see that...My father recently died from Dementia...in September, 2012, so I know the horrors that Dementia brings to lives.. Thank you for your comment...
Finally, there is an air date for Bob's show! Hope so much you can watch it and perhaps contribute your thoughts again. Every word that helps highlight the search for him is very welcome.
Many condolences on the loss of your Dad - I cared for people with dementia and Alzheimers, and though it was rewarding, I know how very difficult it can be too.
