SPONSOR A CHILD...www.JoinPlanUSA.org

I have been seeing this commercial quite a bit lately, and have wanted to post about it before. I am taking this time to specially mention it, and hope that you will visit the site, and help aide these children, who so desperately need our help and support.

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

I'd like to take this time to thank all of our MILITARY PERSONNEL (who have put their lives on the line for us)...and will be remembering them over the weekend. God Bless all of you who strive so hard to make America safe and secure!! We also remember those who have served in the past, and are no longer with us. God bless all of our war vets, Vietnam vets, World War 1, 2, & Korean War vets. You are truly appreciated and cared for.

We also want to remember our friends and relatives who are no longer with us. I personally remember my mother and my grandmother, who I was close to. I am so thankful to still have my father....I am also thankful for my biological family whom I have had the pleasure of knowing for the past 25 years.

WHY IS WAKA LOSING WEATHER GIRL ASHLEY MCDONALD??

I don't think it's a good idea to get us hooked on watching these great weather people (David Baxley, and now Ashley McDonald) and then they lose them to other stations. I guess that they must have been offered a better salary? At least they still have Chris Bailey!! I have been enjoying watching Chris Bailey's weather forecasts for YEARS. That was sweet to give Ashley flowers, Chris :) Now, just get WAKA to offer her a better salary...and bring her BACK!!!!

CHILTON MEDICAL CENTER Emergency Personnel are hard Workers!

We took my dad to the Clanton ER last night, and spent 5 hours there. They really strive to take care of their patients! They had a motorcycle wreck, a sports related injury, a little girl that had been accidently poisoned, an elderly woman who had trouble breathing, and many other patient injuries. My father had dehydration from being sick. He had fallen and hit his head, so they performed a Cat Scan, an EKG for his heart problems, blood work, and a Potassium Drip for his dehydration. He was well taken care of. I appreciate their promptness and sensitivity to their patients.
