MARSHALL COUNTY SHERIFF SUPPORTS COUNTY COMMISSION HANDLING THE FEEDING OF INMATES
http://blog.al.com/breaking/2009/03/marshall_sheriff_supports_bill.html
What a major significance this plays in the state of Alabama! My hats off to the Marshall County Sheriff, Scott Walls. WE NEED MORE SHERIFFS to take this position! As it stands right now, our local sheriff, Herbie Johnson, of Autauga County, is fighting in court to prevent records to be made public which would show the amount of inmate food funds he has in his personal account. (This pertains to the Billy Brown case). http://www.topix.com/forum/city/prattville-al/T1BSIT3TPBN0VOTQ0. I tried to pull up the complete story from the Montgomery Advertiser, but I see that it has been "pulled" and is no longer a link that can be viewed. Here is the link anyway. http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080731/NEWS01/807310318/1007/rss02 Come on Herbie, lighten up, and let us all know how much you have squirreled away. Maybe it will shed light on why some of the inmates feel they are not being fed adequately. Here is another link from the Prattville Progress concerning this issue, and cannot be accessed. http://www.prattvilleprogress.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080913/PROGRESS/809130311/1040/progress I will work further on getting an updated link so you can view the story, and see how the Sheriff is trying to keep his records secret.
LET'S HOPE THAT A MAJOR CHANGE IS MADE IN THE STATE OF ALABAMA, CONCERNING SHERIFFS BEING ABLE TO POCKET LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY FROM THE INMATE FOOD FUNDS. I will continue to update you on the progress of this issue.

UH OH, I HAVE BEEN TOO BUSY FOR MY BLOGGER ACCOUNT!!
I need to get with the program, I guess. I have been out and about quite a bit this past week, and need to get my blogger back on target. Geez, with 4 kids, 4 grandkids, hubby, sons in laws, work, house chores, yard chores, networking, forums, blogs, Ebay, grocery shopping, taking care of my beloved dog, visiting my elderly father, making phone calls, keeping up with family from other states, etc, I don't even have time to lurk in unknown terrain. LOL. No wonder I love Gameboy in my spare time. I heard somewhere that one of the greatest relievers of stress is TETRIS. Well, that's my game, and I'm a pro at it! lmao!!! HAVE A GOOD DAY, EVERYBODY!! And...MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!
