Newsworthy story in Prattville Progress...Autauga County Deputies GONE WILD.. Sequel to Cops Gone Wild!!

What an interesting article the Prattville Progress published on Wednesday! I knew it was just a matter of time, and the strength of Don Fletcher to REPORT REALITY...that this would happen. This story reminds me of Bobby Brown, a dear friend of ours from Autaugaville that experienced harassment by deputies of Autauga County. He was constantly harassed by them, and once during an arrest, his arm was twisted behind his back (when this particular deputy put him in handcuffs). Bobby had been injured in the Vietnam war, and had damage in his arm. The pain from this arrest was unbearable. His shoulder was pulled out of socket twice. (I guess that once the deputy figured out Bobby could suffer pain from his shoulder injury, he did it again).

I wonder if the deputy who did this to this boy, was related to the deputy that hurt Bobby Brown? I might also add, that Bobby Brown supported me in my race for sheriff, and that is one of the reasons he was harassed. You can certainly tell that election time is coming up. Some like to show their "superiority". (Bobby Brown ended up having to leave the county and move somewhere else, due to the bullying nature of law enforcement pulling him over everytime they recognized his vehicle. The Judge said Bobby could have his property back, after the case was over, but when he called to set up a time to pick up his property, he was told that if he went back to reclaim his video camera that they conviscated from him when they arrested him, that he would be arrested if he set foot back in Autaugaville!)My husband ended up driving him back to reclaim his video camera, which had been damaged. It's truly atrocious to think that officers we should "respect" show their bully sides. (Some of these officers are involved with the Huntsville bully group that has been cyber stalking me for a couple of years now). This is the group that has been googling my youngest son's school for information about him. This is the group that has been trying to access Board of Education records of my two youngest children. They have no shame, no respect for children, whatsoever. How can our youth have ANY respect for the law when it hasn't been earned?? There is even a bully blog and bully site that one of the Huntsville bunch has created. The owner of this blog is married to a Huntsville Police Officer. GO FIGURE!

Our kids need to feel safe, but instead of feeling safe, they feel terrified...they feel their youth is jeopardized by cops gone wild. It's ridiculous!! I hope that Julian McPhillips holds these "officers" responsible.

For what purpose is it serving anyone to be trying to access your son's education records? That is none of their damn business.

Yes, that sounds like most law enforcement officials they do things they shouldn't and try to hide it or scare someone away, but eventually karma catches up with them. You know some people think karma is just a superstition, but it's not. What about reaping what you have sewn, sounds to me like karma...The good Lord knew what he was doing. This does happen, its as true and as real as the brownnose on their faces. I would think about it if I were them, before screwing with anyone else.

I don't really understand where this kind of stuff comes from. There have been several bad incidents of police overreaction in both the Twin Cities lately. Ugh!

It's funny how that article was written from the teen's and ONLY the teen's perspective. I'm just sayin.....

Troutbirder, thanks for visiting, and your comment was very much appreciated! Twin Cities..is that in Alabama, or Minnesota??

Oh how I value your comment, Elmer...but I think that DON FLETCHER was dead on, on this article. Give thought to what the article was about. It's about a possible lawsuit on the Sheriff's office. Naturally, he would report from the TEENS'S viewpoint. (because the lawsuit will be filed on behalf of the TEEN.) These deputies will have to defend themselves against the TEEN'S view. The suit is as big of news as the MISCONDUCT of the DEPUTIES. Are the deputies planning on suing the TEEN? If so, then Fletcher needs to do another story. How 'bout you inform him of that?

Well as far as the news report, it was wrong. I happened to be at the Chevron and witnessed it happen as I was parked facing the young man. The Deputies tried very hard to talk to him and all he did was cuss and yell and threaten the cops. He did not go to jail, he left in the ambulance. The story is false and I hope that our County does not pay him a dime.

"He did not go to jail, he left in an ambulance".

Dear "Anonymous" ...the reason he went in an ambulance, was because they tased him (wasn't it TWICE???). You obviously have a great deal in this case, as to how it comes out. Most individuals who really have convictions of truthfulness, will post their names to their stories. Evidently, you must not be "so persuaded". I also noticed you googled the Autauga County Sheriff's election, so you are probably associated with the sheriff, as is the other anonymous poster. Could it be you got ya a new cell phone? :) I'm sure Julian McPhillips is trying to get justice for this young man. I still shake my head in disgust thinking about a young boy going to air up his tires, and all of that transpiring. MAKES NO SENSE. I dread when my child starts driving. I think that I'll just have to ride everywhere with him to be his witness. What I'm really surprised about, is that the deputies usually hang out at CITGO. Why would they change their donut venue??

Anonymous poster, One more thing. If you so witnessed this event, how about sharing the names of the deputies involved? Our taxes are paying for these deputies to be on the payroll. Do any of these deputies have a history of this type of behavior? Is this a "blast from the past" for any of your buds? How about get your buds to come on here, and you all really tell your versions of the story. We might tend to listen a little more attentively to your "story" if you were willing to add your name to your post.

The teen in this story later was jailed by Prattville PD. He was taken from the hospital to jail because when he was at the hospital, he started acting like a crazy fool, wanting to fight with everyone in sight. So if he had to be tazed once, twice, or however many times, it really doesn't surprise me a bit. Don't try to physically fight with the cops when they ask you to turn your radio down. Kids these days need to learn respect.
Just an FYI.

Hello "just another anonymous:)". I believe this hideous crime that the sheriff's department claims happened, occurred OUTSIDE of the Police Jurisdiction. (Chevron?). It seems to center around NOISE, but as far as I know, Autauga County has no noise ordinances. If that's the case...what were Autauga County Sheriff's deputies doing approaching the boy in the first place? These are supposedly "law enforcement" officers.

Ok, what transpired from the Sheriff's Department handling the boy, to the Police Department taking him to jail?

Ok, Autauga County Sheriff's Department, OR Prattville Police Department again, are "law enforcement" agencies. Exactly when did it become law enforcement's job to teach our kids RESPECT??? It's not their job to discipline ANYONE. And if they want RESPECT, then they have to put forth effort to earn RESPECT. I don't believe that RESPECT can be "learned". It's something we all have to work hard for. It has to be EARNED. When law enforcement approaches anyone, to enforce laws that are created by themselves on the spot, they aren't earning ANYONE'S RESPECT...That's just pure "tyranny". I think we have fought wars over that before. It looks like we are headed that way again.
