TIMES DAILY ARTICLE ON DEATH ROW INMATES..INCLUDING THOMAS ARTHUR

Below is a link to the Times Daily article I received in the mail today, that I found to be interesting about DEATH ROW INMATES.  It includes a small portion of news about Thomas Arthur.  As you know, I have followed Thomas Arthur's case for quite some time now.  Even going to the lengths of filing a complaint on Governor Bob Riley to postpone the execution, and do the "right thing".  Well, the execution WAS postponed right after the filing of the complaint.  Many groups have joined in this effort to get the state of Alabama to do the right thing, where Thomas Arthur is concerned.  A recent DNA analysis was drawn about Thomas' case concerning Thomas and Bobby Gilbert not having DNA match the crime scene.  HOWEVER, the Attorney General's office is STILL seeking another execution date.  HOW can an execution date be sought, when there STILL remains a RAPE KIT MISSING...a hair is missing from a wig, etc.  HOW DO ITEMS JUST MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEAR from the State of Alabama????  http://www.timesdaily.com/article/20090914/articles/909145022

Deb, I'm sure many people would like to know that. Did you know that Franklin County under District Attorney Joey Rushing lost two electrical outlets that were PRIMARY EVIDENCE in the Christie Scott murder trial. Since then, one has mysteriously shown back up.

I find that to be very interesting, Phyllis. Who all knows about that? Has her attorney filed anything about it yet? Keep us posted.

You are so very special to me too, Betsy. I think it would be great if we could all meet up in Big Stone next year..you and George, us, and maybe even Sammie.

Deb, Scott's attorney has filed a motion for a new trial based on at least three facts: the loss of the outlets, an alternate juror stating she was sure Scott was guilty (at the start of the trial), and new evidence that a toy could have started the fire. Judge Dempsey is supposed to rule soon. You can see a copy of the appeal at a website Scott's husband started: Christie Scott is Innocent.
