Supreme Court Ruling...Police Can Have Easier Access To Your Home...

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sc-dc-0517-court-search-20110516,0,5858981.story

This ruling gives way to the police to be able to break down your door, if they come to it, anticipating a drug search, and "hear"  the inhabitants doing what the police "assume" is "destroying evidence"...Kentucky Case....8-1 decision...Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. stated that people that "attempt to destroy evidence have only themselves to blame"..(when law enforcement burst into their homes).  The 1 Justice to stand up for the public was Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  She was afraid the Kentucky case will make it easier for police to ignore the 4th Amendment.

Just came across your blog. This recent supreme court ruling regarding the 4th amendment is not surprising. The 4th amendment has slowly been eroded for years. From being strip-searched in airports to being forced by IRS thugs to prove deductions, we effectively no longer have any of the rights guaranteed by the 4th amendment. If a thug government agency wants to see my bank account or see proof of deductions, fine, then produce a warrant. If you want me to remove my shoes or walk through a x-ray device at the airport, fine, produce a warrant. If you think I'm a illegal hispanic, fine, produce a warrant asking to see my documentation. The problem is we yield totally to the government thugs and allow them to do whatever they want. The 4th amendment doesn't just apply to law enforcement, it applies to all levels of government (or at least is supposed to). It guarantees our right to be secure in our person, property and papers without having to fear the government. We simply don't have that anymore.
