I applaud MySpace for removing these registered sex offenders! It's sad to think that there were that many predators on MySpace, alone!

Facebook, on the other hand, says they have not "yet" had to handle a situation with a sex offender meeting up with a Facebook member. Facebook requires members to sign up with their real name, and not anonymously.
Connecticut Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal co-chairs a task force of state attorneys that are exploring how sex offenders use social networking for their benefit. I applaud Richard Blumenthal, and implore him to continue his research and keep everyone updated.
PARENTS...PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SEX OFFENDERS ARE NOT JUST THE BIG BAD WOLF IN SHEEPS' CLOTHING, BUT RATHER THE ANONYMOUS KIND GENTLEMAN, OR WOMAN, ON YOUR CHILD'S COMPUTER. THEY CAN BE JUST ONE CLICK AWAY!
