TURKEY DAY...GOBBLE UP SOME INTERESTING TIDBITS ABOUT THAT OLE BIRD!

Have you ever wondered where the "turkey" came into importance for Thanksgiving day? Well, I found this little tidbit to be quite interesting. Abraham Lincoln, one of my favorite presidents, sent turkeys to the troops in 1863. Thanksgiving day did not consist of turkey dinner as we perceive it.

We have so many things to be thankful for, whether we see them at the time we need to be thankful, or not.

Many blessings to all my readers, and may you perceive your Thanksgiving day as a time to reflect on what is positive, and what is good.

While there are conflicting reports about the Pilgrim’s first Thanksgiving, some saying that friendly Indians brought turkeys to share, assuming that they may be factual, ponder on this:

If the Indians had brought a donkey to roast and feast on with the Pilgrims rather than a turkey, what would many millions of us be having tomorrow for Thanksgiving? A piece of ass, perhaps?

I expect this to be deleted but I just couldn't resist giving you food for thought. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
