MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR, AND RAMMER JAMMER ROLL TIDE!!

WHAT A GREAT GAME!! WHOHOO!! ROLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDEEEEEEEEE AND THEN AGAIN, ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE!!!

ok, ok, back to Merry Christmas!! My most favorite time of the year. The music is the most important part of Christmas to me, because it brings Jesus to mind, and brings all of our loved ones (near and afar) to mind. One of my favorite songs, and played for me by someone very close, is O Holy Night. I like the stars anyway, and this song holds a lot of meaning for me. I would like to hear what some of your favorite songs are. Some special songs to me are Silent Night Holy Night, Any Christmas songs that Clay Aikens sings (He has a fantastic voice!); "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire" (One of my all time favorites); I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas (reminds me of my years in Virginia with snow on the ground and the big bright Christmas lights in neighborhoods where homes were close together (Manassas Park, Virginia), and where people weren't afraid to get out and do some Christmas caroling. I remember in high school (New Market, VA), all of us girls in the girls' dorm would try to beat the guys at sneaking over to their dorm and singing Christmas carols to them. Oh, sometimes they beat us at it, but it was so exciting. I also remember the sleigh riding down the huge hill behind the girls' dorm. Some of my favorite memories, include SNOW. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!! Yeah, I guess that Christmas brings out the child in some of us. (speak of White Christmas, the song is playing on my favorite Directv channel, "Holly" RIGHT NOW). I love snow so much, that VERMONT is one of my favorite states I dream of living in. Horse drawn carriages, grrrrrrrrrrrr, I'll stop right now!!! LOL Also another dream of mine would be to visit New York City at Christmas time, and travel through Central Park in a drawn carriage. (Would I get mugged? lol)...uh oh, reminds me of "Home Alone"! Favorite movies of mine for this time of year, are "Home Alone 1 and 2"; "Santa Claus 1 and 2" (with Tim Allen); and one of my very favorite ones is "It happened One Christmas", with Marlo Thomas and Wayne Rogers. I have been looking everywhere for that movie, and cannot find it. Marlo Thomas wished she had never been born, and she was shown what life would be like if she had never been born. TRULY an inspirational movie. We are truly blessed in life, are we not? LET'S COUNT OUR BLESSINGS. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

A high school with dorms for boys and girls? It must have been some sort of private school rather than a public school.

Yes, Don, I went to private school, as my father was a minister. It was an academy, (Shenandoah Valley Academy). Those were some of the best years of my life! Merry Christmas to you :)

I lived in New York City for nine years. Yes, walking down Fifth Avenue from 59th Street to Rockefeller Center is great fun.

And you wouldn't be mugged in a carriage in Central Park because the horse would get you out of trouble. However, those carriage rides are VERY expensive!

If you are serious about going to NYC let me know, and I'll tell you where to stay for a little over $100 a night, which is half the price of commercial NYC hotels.
