WHY IS WAKA LOSING WEATHER GIRL ASHLEY MCDONALD??

I don't think it's a good idea to get us hooked on watching these great weather people (David Baxley, and now Ashley McDonald) and then they lose them to other stations. I guess that they must have been offered a better salary? At least they still have Chris Bailey!! I have been enjoying watching Chris Bailey's weather forecasts for YEARS. That was sweet to give Ashley flowers, Chris :) Now, just get WAKA to offer her a better salary...and bring her BACK!!!!

Where is Ashley?? Ashley McDonald and David Hagood were like my morning cup of coffee. A warm and pleasant morning event to get my day started and find out what's happening in my part of the world. Now Ashley is gone? Where did she go? I'm sorry David, but CBS8 has just lost a regular viewer ... Hagood without Ashley is like having a cup of hot water ... without the coffee in it. I will search to see if Ashley is still available in my viewing area ... if not, I will miss her happy, smiling, pretty face and her insightful, intelligent presentation of local weather information.

I agree, Bill! The latest I have read about Ashley, is that she was replaced by Kait Parker. Ashley WAS a breath of fresh air for WAKA viewers in this area, BUT I really don't want to have to watch Atlanta news to see her smiling face again LOL. Let me know if you hear any differently than what I have posted here.

Ashley was awesome! Like you said- just when you get used to someone, Montgomery television lets them go. The new girl on channel 8 seems warm and friendly. But I do miss Ashley

Ashley McDonald is here in Atlanta now on NBC 11 Alive. I was just watching the weekend forecast and noticed a pleasant new weatherperson. I decided to google her and landed on your site. Here's the link to her new page: http://www.11alive.com/life/community/persona.aspx?U=ef56794907fe462d8fdb7bb51656c446 . I hope this helps to provide closure or a way to keep in contact with Atlanta's new sunshine weather persona.

Thank you so much, Seraphim!! I'll go look her up, and send her an email. Thanks for updating us. I'll make a new post concerning this info, so everyone can keep in contact with her as well. I think our new weather girl is pretty good also. She is a sweet person. (Kait)...I DO miss Ashley, though.
