CORNELIA WALLACE, ACQUAINTANCE AND FORMER FIRST LADY OF ALABAMA

The passing of one of the greatest ladies in Alabama's history, was very sad to me this week.

I will always remember when I met Cornelia. She had come to see her mother, Ruby in a nursing home in Prattville, and her car had broken down. She had heard about my husband's auto mechanicing skills, and had contacted us on the phone for car repair. We met her on more than one occasion, and I purchased her book, "C'nelia". She wrote a page of kind words, and I will always treasure that book. We visited with her and her mother in the nursing home and back then I was so awed that we had actually met two women in Alabama's history that have definitely left an impact on so many. God Bless the Wallace family, and long live the memory of Cornelia!!

Deb, you wrote: “She wrote a page of kind words, and I will always treasure that book.”

Would you care to share those kind words with you readers?

Hey Don! I'd be happy to share my book with you. I will try to get to that this afternoon, as I have several errands to run this morning. Spent the day with my father, yesterday. He's elderly and every minute I can spend with him, is a blessing to me. Have a great day!
