PSC GRANTS ALABAMA POWER RATE INCREASES! SUSAN PARKER SEEMS TO BE SPOKESPERSON FOR PSC

ONCE AGAIN, Do NOT fuss about your rates going up with Alabama Power. I told you all back in 2005/2006 election that Susan Parker was accepting funds funneled through PACS that were associated with REGULATED UTILITIES!! Nope, ya just didn't listen to me, did ya. WELL, some of you did :) 89,000 of you did. Remember how Susan Parker was for the "little guy". Well, after you read this article, you might sit back and think about your power bill a little bit harder, and with more scrutiny.



SUSAN'S OWN WORDS, regarding voting to give Alabama Power a rate increase were :
"While we don't like this, it's a necessary evil," said Commissioner Susan Parker, who described the vote as one of the toughest decisions she's faced on the board. (from the Birmingham News, October 8, 2008).

I FIND IT VERY EVIL, SUSAN. Explain it to the people I met in flea markets all over Alabama that were so worried in 2006 about their power bills from Alabama Power. The people who had to worry about where their next dollar was coming from, not to mention their power bills were so high already, that they were having to decide between having electricity, air condition and heat, OR their prescriptions and food. I JUST DON'T GET IT???? I watch all of the commercials by Alabama Power with the little birds sitting on the electric line making jokes. I think, "yeah, the jokes on the public, isn't it, Alabama Power?". I remember how Alabama Power "loaned" Alabama Attorney General, Troy King, a viewer box at the Atlanta Braves, although Troy King has to address Alabama Power for the PSC, and complaints that come to his office by consumers in Alabama. HOW DOES THIS ALL TIE IN TO YOUR UTILITY RATES? HERE IS THE DEAL....

YOU BETTER CHECK OUT THE FUNDING FOR BOTH TWINKLE CAVANAUGH AND LUCY BAXLEY BEFORE YOU MAKE AN EDUCATED VOTE ON ELECTION DAY!!!!!
