I seem to recall that at some time somewhere you said that you’re now a Republican. Am I wrong? If not, why have you decided to support a Democrat to be our next governor?

Hi Don...Hot outside, isn't it? :) Fixing to get even hotter in the political field. To answer your question, I am really an Independent now. I vote for the person. I fulfilled my duties as a Democrat, and fulfilled what I set out to accomplish. (Creating a well grounded Democratic Party in Autauga County). It was about extinct until I got involved with it, and pulled it out of the mire. (with the help of some other family members and friends, such as Johnny Davis, Kimberly, Carl Johnson, etc.) I have had some from the Republican Party in Autauga County express a desire for me to help them set their party up according to the Justice Department's regulations. They want to do what I accomplished in the Democrat Party in Autauga County, and that is weed out some bad apples and bring in some fresh blood. New officers are supposed to be elected, (every 4 years when the Governor's election takes place). That is now done in the Democrat Party, but not in the Republican Party, (or so I've been told). I haven't taken on the Republican Party, as of yet, but I'm considering it.

If you’re an Independent, why, according to your post, did you consider only Democrats for our next governor? Are none of the Republican candidates worthy of consideration?

Oh, BTW, when you say you’re hot that could be taken in more ways than one. :-)

I have also considered Republicans and others. No one on the Republican ticket, that I see, that I would want to support. Give me the candidate of your choice, and I'll be glad to post pros and cons. OR...better yet, you post the pros and cons for me, if you know the individual. I know Ron Sparks, Artur, and Sue Bell, and of those three, RON SPARKS is the best of the three. Thanks for the compliment, I think it was one...LOL (I just wouldn't flaunt being hot like another site does, that you and I know about. I won't even mention their names, because I don't want to give BK or HF or BG or Db the publicity LOL. Now, Loretta is hot??? roflmao!!!

As an afterthought of Artur and Sue Bell. Artur is the better of those two. He's a good man, and if I wasn't supporting Ron, I would support Artur. I just don't like the fact that Artur received a donation from Bill Canary. Smells of rot to me. Sue Bell, well, I won't even go there...I have already posted my thoughts on her. (as I DO know what she is capable of, behind the scenes)...the this little light of mine, well, that song was not only OVERUSED on her campaign, but it was not appropriate for her.

So you did consider the Republican candidates after all although you didn’t mention them in your post.

It’s too early for me to make up my mind about candidates. There’s more to be learned about all of those who have announced, and candidates are still coming out of the woodwork, it seems. It could be that someone might announce later that I would prefer. It could turn out to be choosing one by the process of elimination.

I’ve never met any candidate or potential candidate in person. I’ve corresponded with some of them via email and spoken with some over the phone.

Oh, Kay Ivey has announced she is running, and she would be a good candidate, I believe. I met Kay, once, in Prattville, at the Doster Center, when she was campaigning. I believe it was back in 2002. Very interesting and BOLD woman. I like that in a woman too. Bold and a go-getter. She would be my choice on the Republican ticket.
