INMATES IN ALABAMA MAY NO LONGER GO HUNGRY!

A new bill has been introduced that could make some sheriffs very angry. This bill sponsored by Rep. Allen Treadaway of Morris, is a great step forward in Alabama, concerning addressing the huge profits that sheriffs are making in inmate food allowances that are left over at the end of the year. This plight was brought to the attention of the Legislature of Alabama, when Morgan County Sheriff, Greg Bartlett was order jailed by a Federal Judge, for not providing adequate food for his inmates. He pocketed $210,000 (at his own admittance). I say that's shameful. Let's hope that Rep Treadaway can get this bill passed. Will update you on this at a later date!
