"WHO DONE IT?" WHERE IS "THENEXTSELMA" FROM AL.COM MONTGOMERY FORUM?

September 12, 2008 was the last posting by TheNextSelma, according to al.com forum records. WHERE IS HE??? Many in the Montgomery forum are speculating as to his demise. The names "Walter Bamberg" and "Greg Budell" are circulating around as to the identity of TheNextSelma. Considering TNS was a "NOT" Bobby Bright supporter, and we are this close to election time, I would say that he has been kidnapped by an unknown identity!! lmao. Where are you, TNS? We all want to know. Your postings were not only informative, but humorous at times, and very intellectual. Your knowledge was overwhelming, and I even enjoyed answering your questions, during my PSC Campaign. Please come forward (if you are still amongst us) and let us know you are ok.

Deb, as you know from prior admonitions about these useless al.com forums, I’m not familiar with “THE NEXT SELMA” or of his or hers postings on the forum. My guess is that it may have been Walter Bamberg, though.

When I lived on Lake Jordan Walter’s brother Chester (Chet) Bamberg lived in the house next to mine, and Walter had a lake home about a block away.

Walter came to my rescue one time. My house had been struck by lightning and burned to the ground. My insurance firm wouldn’t allow me to even begin to clear the rubble away and start rebuilding until the state fire marshal’s office had inspected the site to determine the cause of the fire. After weeks of waiting I contacted the office of Congressman Bill Dickinson and asked if there was a way to get the fire marshal to do his job. Walter was Dickenson’s aide and he contacted the fire marshal and I was given permission to proceed with what I had to do.

I was informed by the next door neighbor (a friend of mine) of Walter of his death within minutes of his passing, and in one of the rare times for me to post anything on an al.com forum I posted the following on the Montgomery al.com forum:
15884. RIP, Walter Bamberg

I just heard from a friend on Lake Jordan that Walter Bamberg passed away suddenly today at his home on the lake.

Don, I just now found this comment of yours concerning Walter Bamberg in my posting section. It wasn't sent to my email, so sorry for the delay. This has been one crazy week!! (Then again, what week ISN'T crazy for me? lol). I hope you will keep us updated about Walter. Since you know Chester, is it possible that you could ask him for us, if Walter used the screen name of "TheNextSelma"? It would solve a great mystery of both mine and other friends such as Southern Angel, and others who are concerned. Thanks Don! I do appreciate your comments.

I can’t ask Chester Bamberg. He died several years ago. I believe I read in the Montgomery Advertiser around the time of Walter Bamberg’s funeral that his son works for one of the TV stations in Montgomery and possibly he would know if TNS was his father but it might not be a good time to ask him just so recently after his Dad died. Maybe someone will search through the archives to find where his son was identified or they could call the TV station…..I believe it was WSFA…..if they want to ask him later.

Thank you, Don, for your willingness to help us on this. It is a mystery, and I don't like mysteries lol. I am a realist and want to know, "who done it". LOL. If you happen to find out, please let us know. I'll try to do some more checking on my own. TheNextSelma was an everyday poster, (moreso that I was) for several years. They were never banned permanently (like I WAS), and I found that interesting as well, due to the fact that they really did not care for Bobby Bright. It seems that the ones that are allowed to stay, are Republicans,(with the exception of ptrail2/pctrail1, District 88 Democrat Representative, Pat Cobern). It asounds me that they allow her to remain, although she repeatedly slanders me and my family. That is an issue I have taken up with Joe Turnham, and expect to hear a reply from him, at some point in time. Have a great day!

Well well, I have to correct myself. Haven't had enough coffee for the day...I meant to type, "asTounds", instead of asounds". My bad.
